Dr. Lauren Denson, Brocks Gap Dental Group (Hoover, AL)
Dr. Lauren Denson has been a vital part of the team at Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry since 2014. Dr. Denson received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from UAB in 2013. When she isn’t working, you will find her and her husband, Dr. Doug Denson, tagging along with their two children.

Dr. Doug Denson is an Oral Surgery Specialist in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated with honors from University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in 2012. Having more than 9 years of diverse experiences, especially in oral surgery, Dr. Douglas Austin Denson affiliates with Brookwood Medical Center and cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in medical group Koslin And Kahn, P.C.

Dr. Jay Durham, Durham Orthodontics (Madison, AL)
Dr. Jay Durham is a native of Fort Payne, Alabama. He attended Auburn University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. After completing his degree, Dr. Durham received a Dental Merit scholarship to attend the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham.
After completion of dental school, Dr. Durham soon entered into a residency program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. While there, he successfully finished the Phase II written exam of the American Board of Orthodontics in April, 2008. Then, he fulfilled his three-year residency program in April, 2009 and earned his Master of Science degree.
Dr. Durham and his wife, Kelly, have four children, Wyatt, Tucker, Riley, and Miller. During his free time, Dr. Durham enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, and watching college football.

Dr. Lauten Johnson, Brocks Gap Dental Group (Hoover, AL)
Dr. Lauten Johnson has headed Pediatric and Adolescent Dentistry since its very beginning in 2010. His goal is and always has been to give children the best dental care possible. Dr. Johnson completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at UAB and obtained his Alabama State Dental License in 2006. He completed his residency in pediatrics in 2008 and is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Johnson is also certified in the use of oral sedation and has privileges at Children’s Hospital and when needed can take a child to general anesthesia. In 2006, he won two clinical awards in excellence at UAB. First, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-Doctoral Student Award which is given to the student with the greatest proficiency and interest in Pediatric Dentistry. Secondly, the Birmingham District Dental Society Award for outstanding clinical ability.
Currently, Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Johnson is also founder of The Smile Foundation. Yearly, he leads a team to Mexico where they provide dental and medical services to the underprivileged. But his most favorite thing to do is spend time with his three kids: Callie, Sanders and Mary Carmen.

Dr. Trevor Kaple, Brookwood Endodontics (Hoover, AL)
Dr. Trevor Kaple is a native of Yakima, WA and received his undergraduate education at Washington State University. He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University and spent the following year as part of a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. Immediately following he was accepted into Endodontic Residency at UAB where he earned a specialty certificate in Postgraduate Endodontics.

Dr. Jana Crim, Berry Farms Eyecare (Franklin, TN)
Dr. Jana Crim is a graduate of UAB School of Optometry Class of 2002. She has been practicing in Franklin, Tennessee, since 2012. Dr. Crim opened Berry Farms EyeCare in March 2017 and has created her ideal private practice setting where she manages and treats the eye care needs of patients of all ages. Outside of work, Dr. Crim enjoys traveling and spending time with her three sons - Ryan, Sam, and Ben.

Dr. Ashley Williams, Preferred Eye Care (Selma, AL)
Dr. Ashley Williams is an Optometrist at Preferred Eye Care in Selma, Alabama. She received her B.S. from Auburn University and her Doctorate in Optometry from The University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham, Alabama. She has practiced in Selma for over sixteen years.
Dr. Williams specializes in primary eye care, including comprehensive adult and pediatric eye examinations. She prescribes eyeglasses, various types of contact lenses, and comanages LASIK surgery for patients with refractive needs. She detects and manages eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes, and is able to provide preoperative and postoperative care for those needing surgical intervention. Aside from her professional life, Dr. Williams has two children, Ed and Rhyne.

Dr. Kennedy Walker, Day Eye Care (Gardendale, AL)
Dr. Kennedy Walker is a 2008 graduate from the UAB School of Optometry. She currently is practicing at Day Eye Care in Gardendale, Alabama. Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys spending time with her husband, Edward, and their three boys - Jack, Charlie, and James. She specializes in diagnosis and treatment of vision problems for both kids and adults. Dr. Walker is a member of the American Optometric Association, Alabama Optometric Association, Birmingham Optometric Association, and the Junior League of Birmingham.
